About

Biscotti Liqueur

Faretti Biscotti Liqueur is produced as a joint venture between two family owned companies, Giori Distillati Trentini and Chatham Imports. Mauro Giori, son of Giori’s founder, Ferruccio Giori, has years of experience producing Italian spirits and personally worked on creating Faretti.

Giori Distillati Trentini is located in Volano (a town of just 3,000 residents) in the Trentino-Alto Adige region within the province of Trentino, an Italian province that has two official languages, German and Italian. The distillery is nestled into the Dolomite Mountains.

Working with the late John McLaughlin of Chatham Imports, the goal was to capture the flavor of the beloved Italian cookie, the Cantucci. The base is an extraordinarily clean distillate to which is added an infusion of citrus, nuts, fennel and caramel.

Formulation after formulation was tested and tasted both in Italy at the distillery as well as at Chatham Imports in New York until the day that both sides agreed that the flavor was just right. While it’s delicious alone, Faretti is extraordinarily mixable as well.

Try it neat, with coffee, or, my favorite, with milk. Mauro Giori
